Latest Asset Building Research

A new expanded measure of asset poverty, The Asset Security and Opportunity Index, has been developed by the Institute for Assets and Social Policy at Brandeis University. The measure takes into account not only the security that assets bring but also the opportunity that assets make possible. The findings suggest that more than half of Americans are without both asset security and asset opportunity.
